Had a free weekend day in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and drove into town for some exploring.

Escaped the heat of the long July 4 weekend by driving up to Flagstaff, Arizona with Jay and Bebe. Walked around the city, did a little bar-hopping, and went on a wonderful hike the following day.

Flew into Telluride, Colorado, and spent the afternoon exploring downtown, enjoying perfect weather. The next day, biked to a free gondola, which offered breathtaking views of the mountains and valley.

Woke up early from jet-lag. Took light rail from the airport to downtown Seattle to explore the city on foot. Visited the Space Needle and Pike Place Market.

Return flight from Shànghăi to Seattle. Enjoyed good conversation with my seat-mate and caught up on movies.

Woke up late and headed to Red Lion for lunch. Spent the day socializing and exploring the Wúxī canal area. Hired a driver for the return trip back to Shànghăi.

After a late night, a missed train, and a re-booking, finally arrived in Wúxī to visit Joe. Attended the grand re-opening of Red Lion Bar, reconnected with old friends, and partied until dawn.

Spent the day exploring Jìng ān Temple area after a canceled lunch with a friend. Joined by Jack and later Cynthia and her coworker for dinner, followed by drinks at a private rooftop party. Ended the night at Revolution club, partying with the owner and his entourage until early morning.

Went out with Cynthia and stayed at Rickys apartment in Yángpǔ district. Rainy conditions provided opportunities for photography.

After a sleepless night, group left Fùyáng and took a train back to Shànghăi. Afternoon was spent resting before regrouping for hot pot dinner and a visit to The Bund to admire the illuminated Lùjiāzuǐ skyscrapers. Evening ended with drinks at a billiards bar and a late-night search for a taxi back to Yángpǔ district.

Started the day with wedding preparations. Enjoyed a night walk through Fùyáng with the Russians, exploring markets and encountering local curiosities. Continued the night with KTV and more exploration. Early-morning meal and drinks with new friends, embracing the adventure.

Arrived in Fùyáng by high-speed rail, reunited with friends at the hotel, and enjoyed a family-style dinner. The night ended with a lively KTV session, drinks, and fireworks. A memorable first night in the city.

Flew to Shànghăi for a couple weeks trip for Rickys wedding. Stayed up for 48 hours. Picked up Elric and Becca from the airport.
